Guns Left I Want

I have everything within reason that i want. Minus machine guns lol.

I want a 22 magnum rifle. I have no idea why. I have a bunch of 22lr rifles and a few 17HMR rifles but i just want a 22 magnum for some reason.

I also want a Colt 1911 Series 70. I have a Springfield Loaded stainless 1911 with regular grips and Crimson Trace grips but i just want a Colt Series 70 1911.

The last gun i want is a Ruger Mk1 to Mk3 stainless 22lr. I have a Browning Buckmark, S&W 22A and a Ruger 22/45 with a pac-light barrel and a bunch of pistols but i just want a Ruger MK1 to 3. I traded one many years ago and i would like it back.

As far as i can tell thats all the guns i want left. I however do need/want a bunch of ammo.

I bought 2 guns out of 9 that i wanted in 2018/19. For some reason i wanted a Hi Standard H&D Military and a Hi Standard derringer. I bought 3 Hi Standard guns last year. I bought a Hi Standard derringer blued in 22 magnum for 300 that was like new. I Bought a Hi Standard H&D 22lr like new for 300.

I walked into the pawn shop one day and they had a stainless/chrome Hi Standard 22 magnum almost new looking for just over 100 and i could not pass up that deal.

    My problem is that as I get ones on my list, I learn of new ones that I didn't know existed or I get a new hankering.

    Of course I want to dabble more into Class III stuff, particularly full auto but I doubt I'll do that too much. If I start having that much extra cash I'll likely sell my classic car and buy the classic car(s) that I really want.

    I have always wanted my collection to go from small to large in common calibers. I need to buy another .458 mag to round it out. I don't think I'll ever get any of the Nitro Express or other crazy wild calibers. I do of course want a Barret M82 in .50 BMG. I already have guns ranging from .17 Remington to .416 Rem Mag. I've also got .375 H&H mag as well as a .338 Lapua so fairly well equipped for all except perhaps the very largest of African game.

    I still want to get a couple Franchi shotguns, namely the SPAS-12 and SPAS-15. I recently finished my desired Benelli collection though I would like to sell my regular M4 with extended mag and collapsible stock, and get the 11711 (the H20 version of the same).

    I am a very avid collector of 10mm autos as my signature states. I own, have owned, or shot just about every one of them. I would like to get another Bren. I have the SFL (Special Forces Light) which is the stainless/hard chrome version. I'd like to get the SFD (Special Forces Dark) which is all matte blued. But, at ~$5k and being hard to find that hasn't happened yet. Speaking of 10mm's, there are a couple new ones I haven't gotten yet such as the SIG. I'd also like to get a custom CCW oriented Officer / Commander made from Fusion Firearms

    I am always on the lookout for more Remington 700 Titanium's, particularly the later "Alaskan" variant with the fluted barrel. Which reminds me, if anyone has one they might sell, keep me in mind. I would really like to get one in 25-06, 7mm-08, and 7mm rem mag.

    I don't know if a custom counts, but I have always wanted to take a Marlin Camp Carbine and have a .40 S&W barrel made for it. I don't think the gun is robust enough to handle the stronger 10mm auto loads but that would be a very handy, compact, light weight carbine in a powerful package. It'd be like my Ruger .44 mag carbine's little brother. :-)

    I haven't even begun to get into military arms, particularly WWII era, and I would really like to. But, I am sooooo lost when I look at them. I know the models, but why one gun is $150, and another that looks basically the same is $2500.

    When I was young, good looking, and poor, my cousin?s husband showed me his new S&W Model 57 nickel .41 Magnum in the presentation case. I?ve wanted one ever since. It would complete my bucket list, which included:
    A 4? Python
    Ruger #1 in .480 Ruger
    Pre 64 Model 70 Winchester in .270
    Colt Delta Elite
    Colt SAA ..45
    Detective Special
    Trapdoor Springfield
    1911 Commander brushed nickel.
    I just wish I hadn?t took them all out on the boat that fateful day.

    When I see something that I want anymore, I simply think back as to the last time I have fired some of those that I do have.

    I have firearms that have not had a projectile down the barrel in probably 10 years. Buying more now would simply push them further back on the waiting list.

    I suppose a .50AE lever gun would be something I would buy if I came across one, but that is probably about it.

    That's an interesting idea... I never have been an AR type of guy; other than I had an AR-7 years ago - you know, the one that DID survive the boating accident since it floated. Anyway, the .50 Beowolf and to a lesser extent the .458 SOCOM sound interesting to me. Though granted that still is not a lever gun.

    Only one left on my must have list is a Model 42 Winchester skeet gun. I just looked at the auction side & there is a nice one for just over $1000. Two problems. There are still 11 days to bid & even if I got it I can't afford to feed it. That means I have to put another Dollar to put in my retirement fund.
    Last drawing all my numbers were off by one or two numbers & even that close I got nothing.

    Every time I hear someone say that saying, I also can hear the theme song from "The Rifleman" playing in my head! :lol:

    Everyone should own an Elephant Gun in an over 40 caliber cambering.

    A CZ 550 in 458 Lott is an affordable fix but one in 500 Jeffery is even better ;)

    I have a couple regular take down Burgess shotguns, but really want a folder!
    Andrew Burgess was a special Man to say the least! I believe he's credited with Lincolns Photo on the five dollar bill and a ton of firearm related patents!

    Do muzzle loaders count for large bored "elephant guns"?

    I was just thinking about the time all the cheap, "untouched" Martinis hit the market, from the Nepal cache. I still ask myself why I didn't buy a dozen at the time. Seems like there's been a number of people that have cleaned them up, and put them back to use. Another I wouldn't mind owning is a Snider carbine, .577 of course. Maybe a Colt Walker replica to round it all off. I seem to gravitate towards stuff like that anymore.

    God we loaded so much .577-450 Marti Henry super sized bottleneck ammo in the gunshop when Atlanta cutlery found the Nepalese falling and pivoting block caches...

    Not just the BB kangaroo cases and the Coors shutzenfest stuff but actual two piece bimetallic copper foil and brass base authentic loads...

    I still have maybe 50 rounds of each floating around here somewhere.

    Please note that Speer's manual and the Lee redbook load guides specifically call for the use of beef fat in all martini Henry ammo - for historic accuracy and to foment rebellion.

    It's an interesting cartridge in its own developmental history rights.

    And always remember RH Concentric twist above the equator - LH Concentric twist below the equator (just like toilet flush directional flow)

    I cleaned and inspected many a rifle out of that armory - at least 50 - I can build one in my sleep and see the schematics in my head - a simple but brilliant action with as few parts as possible in the design - used from north pole to south pole.

    i'm at the point of not buying guns for "me" but for my grandkids. i really want to add youth sized nice over/unders in 20 gauge for the grand daughter to target shoot..not convinced she will be a hunter yet. and a 12ga O/U for the grandson for clay shoots he has a nice start on hunting guns those 2 and my son will inherit an arsenal worthy of some south american dictators, and growing.
