BSB bourbon,

Kept seeing a commercial for BSB flavored bourbon so we bought a bottle. It's o.k.,but a little too much cinnamon flavor for me. Gonna try it with 7UP as a hi-ball and see if its better. Have you had it? Like it?

    its a 'flavored' bourbon. Brown Sugar Bourbon = BSB. Doesn't have the burn or after burn as most bourbons. Sweet taste,but a little too much cinnamon flavor for me. I like my Jim Beam a lot better.

    Well,we just made a hi-ball with 7UP. Did NOT help,still too strong cinnamon for our liking. Come get it,you can have it.

    I like a tiny nip of the Beam honey bourbon, but I like none of the cinnamon oil whiskies I have tried.

    might I suggest some Jeremiah Weed. add your own brown sugar to shots for experimentation.

    recently they also came out with spiced, cinnamon and sarsaparilla flavors.

    Woodford Reserve. Upper end of mid priced, no burn, I limit myself to the small $20 bottle because it goes down TOO easy.

    For mixing, the Evan Willaims 179x at $12 a bottle is fantastic.

    I opened the thread thinking you were talking about Blanton's Single Barrel. Brown sugar bourbon doesn't sound like something I would care for.

    flavors are relative. you can eat one thing, which brings out a flavor in what you drink with it.

    I don't know of anything that mutes an associated flavor in the other food. so, how about making the cinnamon flavor complimentary to something, so it doesn't stand out so much in the first thing, having the effect of muting it.

    what has cinnamon? cinnamon toast. can you leave out the cinnamon and eat it? yes.

    answer: try eating buttered toast with your cinnamon bourbon. or jelly on it too.

    Blantons is good but my favorite is 18 year old Elijah Craig (which is super hard to find) I have about six bottles of Blantons so it is one of my "regular" bourbons

    I can and do drink almost any Bourbon, Lately been enjoying some George Dickel single barrel with HDColt51, but I also like the Woodford double oaked, and while generally not a fan of flavors I have been tasting some Pecan lately

    BSB is made here in Washington State. It?s not something I would normally buy but my wife bought me a bottle for Father?s Day. It?s mild enough she can even drink it. I have paired it with a cigar. A better bourbon that?s made here in Washington is from Woodinville Whiskey. Excellent bourbon but not available in all States.

    I have four of the double double oaked.. they are 375's so I guess I really only have 2 :D but it is right tasty

    People can say what they like about flavored Bourbons and Whiskeys, but let me tell you!
    Bird Dog Chocolate Whiskey is pretty darn good! I like it neat in the evening or perhaps a little in my coffee on the weekend.........It's much lighter and nowhere near as thick or rich as Baileys and similar......
    My Friends wife mixes it with Ginger Ale, and it tastes like a Chocolate Soda! It's usually around $20.00/Bottle.........You are welcome!
