He?s correct. But that doesn?t matter. They?re not going to clean up Chicago, or Baltimore, or San Francisco... 0 -
Good article. Thanks for posting.
But like WT says, meaningless.
It's easier to politicize guns than to actually fix the problems.
Remember, like my favorite new T Shirt says:
GUNS DON'T KILL PEOPLE
CLINTONS DO0 -
Long read but very good and has some points I have made constantly. Particularly the part about covering mass shootings. I have said for years if they want to cover the event, fine. If they want to list the victims, not sure how I feel; perhaps with their consent. But, never, ever, list the perpetrators name. This just promotes people "going out in a blaze of glory.
It used to be if people wanted to "check out" they did it. Perhaps with a hand written note. Now, some attempt mass shootings so their name is plastered all over the news.0 -
Eliminating free publicity for perpetrators of shootings of all kinds would be a step in the right direction. However, a far more effective change would be to prohibit Hollywood from promoting gun violence as entertainment in their movies and videos. The Hollywood elites rant against guns, but then show killing after killing with guns, often full-auto, in nearly every movie they release. Just surf through the video ads for movies available on NetFlix and see how many show one or more actors are shown holding a gun.
If some group wants to really do something about gun violence, start by banning and confiscating guns from the Hollywood killing as entertainment crowd.0 -
True... The promotes of senseless violence then come out against the 2nd amendment. Sad but fact. Shame. truthful wrote:Eliminating free publicity for perpetrators of shootings of all kinds would be a step in the right direction.
