They mentioned we might get some snow on Sunday at some of the higher elevations. Hooo boy!

For NE Oregon...
"A low pressure system will be over the area this weekend into
early next week. This will result in significantly colder
temperatures with periods of rain and snow. Lower elevations will
have rain with mid and higher elevations receiving snow. The snow
levels are expected to be 2500 to 4000 feet with accumulations
likely. High temperatures will be in the 40s to mid 50s. Overnight
lows in the 20s to mid 30s."

I have lived in Utah now for 34 years. Every one of those years, we have gotten a cold front/storm that dropped rain and snow a few days either side of October 1. And every one of those years, people here are surprised and shocked when it happens.
This one looks like a four-day event, starting late Friday evening. Possibly even six days. After that, we'll have two weeks of what they used to call Indian Summer, leading up almost to Hollow Weinie. After that, it will well and truly be Winter.0
