And they have been for a long time. I have read the newspapers had a large part in the Civil War here in America. 0 -
I 100% believe that if nothing else, the media is to blame for the extreme polarization of the American people.
In college I took a statistics class. I don't remember much from it except what he showed us the first day of class. He stated that "you can use statistics to prove anything. It is all in how you disseminate the information".
He broke us all into small groups giving each of us a task to prove a specific point. When it was done, around a dozen groups all proved their point based on about a paragraph of data.
An example might be to prove that drivers age 80+ are the safest drivers. Well, you read the data and sure enough, they show the least wrecks. But, if you take account of how many are actually driving, they were the most unsafe. This taught me you could take about any snippet of information and slant it to your agenda and there is still a hint of truth, or at least there is their justification for what they are saying.0 -

Replace the word liberal with DEMOCRAT and you are spot on.
Liberal, socialist, leftists, communists, are interchangeable terms with the word DEMOCRAT0 -
