Short Hurrication waterfall trip
Luckily my bride likes the mountains as much as I do, this is in the park at Lake Lure.

Last year we tried to hike Little Bradley Falls after Big Bradley Falls and just couldn't make it through the area we tried to go in at, a rock slide had buried the trail and made it too difficult especially after the hike to Big B.
Governor McMaster gave me another Hurrication when he closed all the out patient surgery centers for Dorian, so we made a quick trip up to Flat Rock NC and got to hike into Little Bradley Falls.
Off trail to get there

Look close and notice her pants are wet and dog is soaked, I tried to help them cross an area I picked out but they decided to use a tree and fell in LOL. She was hopping mad at the time but quickly got over it LOL. Dog would have been better off the lease he is a mountain climber but she holds on to him and they both struggle.

Since we were in Apple season we took a trek up to Skytop Orchard and got some Apples and more importantly some Apple Cider Doughnuts hot out the fryer, damn near polished off the whole dozen right there warm, soft and delicious!
Took a ride down 64 amazing how many apples are already laying on the ground, most of the you pick places were in full swing, stopped at Colstens adn got some Apple Pecan bread and more cider. And a quick trip through Chimney Rock and stop at the Cider Mill

We went through Brevard and had a few at the Oskar Blues Brewery,

and since we were so close and it was a week day I figured why not toss in an easy roadside waterfall, many of you will know this one.

My first thought was, "that is not a waterfall that is a babe." Then I scrolled down and found the water. Living in the desert, I always enjoy your waterfall adventures.

Nice pictures, thank you. Waterfalls are always good. My friend did all the falls here in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. 0 -

Mobley, is that a baseball field she?s standing on?
If you can ever make it up to Pembroke, Va., I?ll show you Cascade Falls. It?s a two mile hike but well worth it.
Dinner?s on me.
(There?s usually much more water than the picture shows)

My little brother lives in Fredricksburg so you never know
, 2 miles is a charm no problem especially if it isn't 100 degrees
It is a big grassy area alongside Lake lure just some type of city park.jimdeere wrote:Mobley, is that a baseball field she?s standing on?

Nice pictures.
However those apple cider donuts almost killed me. Used to have a country store a bit down the road.
I used to go in on Sunday morning to get the paper. The donuts were always hot just having been fried. I would get a dozen and most would be gone before I got home which was only 3 miles away.
Unfortunately the store burnt down and they did not rebuild. If they rebuilt and continued making donuts I would now be 600 lbs and I would be on that TV show.0
