What advantages/disadvantages are there in starting bids with a no opening or minimum bid approach? Thanks

    Unless you are the Goddess Locust Fork or King Ricci here, IMO, it depends on what you are selling. The more common items, i.e. 870 Expresses, Mossberg 500's ect. better to start at minimum. The really odd stuff with a limited market, same. S&W's the older, Colt's, Winchesters, all vintage C&R things seem to fare very well at 1.00 starts with plenty of good pics. Just my two cents.

    I think it depends a lot on the reputation and history of the seller. Sellers with a lot of listings, and gobs of A+ ratings attract a lot of attention. Buyers look to see what these folks have for sale. On the other hand, if you sell maybe a half dozen guns a year, you better start with an amount you are willing to accept. You might only get one buyer looking.
