going to be crazy in St L this weekend
"ride of the century" this weekend, where stunt motorcycle riders converge on St L from all over the country. where are they meeting? uh, St Louis. the streets. downtown I guess.
it's an annual thing, but this time they are estimating 3,000 will show up instead of hundreds like last year. 3,000 is a lot of motorcycles.

this afternoon on hwy 70 there were motorcycles all over the interstate. Harleys, rice rockets, even saw a group of 4 straight dirt bikes. cutting in and out of lanes, passing cars between lanes, that sort of stuff.
didn't see anything on 141 or 55, strangely. the other year they did this I was on 55 and estimated 300 bikes passed me in a continuous stream, counted 7 doing wheelies.
we'll see how this goes...

nothing on the local news either. they must be minding their p's and q's while driving downtown and taking their stunts elsewhere (like the riverfront) because the cops put out a notice that stunt driving, or any ATV's on the street will result in arrest and towing the vehicle.
I wouldn't know firsthand how it's going because I haven't been out driving around this weekend except Saturday afternoon when I saw bunches of them on I-70. the fuzz could have issued all sorts of tickets at that time and location, I'll say that much.
I don't know anything about partying on the hill and never heard of Dago Hill.0 -
