with some states allowing suits against gun manufacturers, even with the law protecting them from suits over use by end consumers, how might this mess end up helping with precedent arguments ?
pharmaceutical companies being sued as contributing to addiction?

    Like hell it is. The focus is on how much MONEY the company has- and states that are busy figuring out how they can grab a chunk of it. They don't give a crap about victims and families.

    Anybody that has ever been involved in a class action law suit knows this. I never have been.

    Huge fines = Huge payout sums = Small checks = Rich attorneys

    Drug companies have lied, mislead and over-charged to the tune of untold billions of dollars.
    Everyone (but mainly lawyers) want some of that.

    If they had been honest upfront about addiction and that little side effect known as "death"....who knows?


    On the other hand we all know what guns are for and how they are to be properly used. So, why should anyone but the user/misuser be held responsble?

    Bingo.

    The person swallowing the pills, OR pulling the trigger are the only ones responsible. Or,....I should say that would have been the case back in the days when people believed in freedom and personal responsibility.

    Today's mentality is "Who can I blame for being a failure, and a loser, and while I'm at it,...who can I get some money from?"
