Do you think this safety wiring is from the factory?

My old Ferguson TO 30 got stuck in gear this weekend while mowing and I had to pull the cover to reset the shifter, I wonder if this safety wiring is factory or added later?

    Wherever it is from it was not done by someone who knows how to use safety wire.

    I have seen many different ways of safety wiring the shift lever screws.

    Aftermarket fix. The Massey Ferguson 35 models were known to jump out of gear from second gear while going down grade at low speed. The permanent fix cost around $600 back in the sixties and seventies. Most owners just learned to hold pressure on the shift lever.
    The TO 30 preceded the MF 35 and it?s likely the transmissions were of similar design and construction.
    I learned this from a former MF trained mechanic when I was looking to buy a used MF 35.

    Functional yes, but safety wiring poorly done such as that if done on anything connected to an airframe that flies would result in the loss of and A&P license.

    When I was fixing aircraft for Uncle Sam a safety wire job like that would have got somebody beat up.

    Looks good except the pigtails are supposed to be folded to prevent injury to hands. Would be considered a failed eval for an A&P.
