never heard of it? well it happened, one of those events caused by "overpaid, oversexed, and over here". yes 2 days of riots, hand to hand combat looting of the Pxs, and general ill will..all kept under the rug by macAuther and the Aussie government. enjoy.

  While all stereotypes are based on facts - my father was an MP ("on the Job") and he was a good / fair guy on duty...

  brisbane now was nothing like Brisbane in the was years. USA military had close to 1/3 its population. our military was paid 4x what the Australians average pay was. out PXs had items the Aussies only dreamed about...Aussie women learned silk stockings, choclate, wine, andcigarettes were easily obtained by personal interaction with the lustful yank. there is no question the Aussie soldier and civilian male took offense.
