Buy Dog food from them? (Or other stuff, treats etc.) Curious.
Feedback?
Found a couple good deals, "Buy one get one free," on one of the top rated brands. True Acre Foods. Chicken and Vegetables. $29.99 for 24 lbs. [48 lbs. for $30?] (They also have Salmon and sweet potatoes, or Beef and Vegetables. Same deal.) That sounds like a pretty good deal to me.
Comparing ingredients to what I have been buying, Diamond Naturals here at the Tri-State Farmers market. (Local) $39 for 33 lbs. It was comparable. (Chicken and Brown rice, [28% protein] Beef and rice, or Lamb and rice.) [26% protein] Or go to the Tractor supply in Boone, NC. for their own brand "4 Health," (Untamed.) Last was Buffalo and Lentil formula. 26% Protein. Dog loved it. Somewhat pricey though.
(Reading the bag, also comparable to Diamond Naturals.) Under-rated as a brand based upon my research.
Yes, I have already heard from the "I cook all my dogs food homemade," crowd. (Don't need to hear it again.) Thanks.
I recently cooked an entire Turkey for my dog, and diced it and mixed it in with his food, over time. My dog this evening ate about 3/4 lb. of cooked deer meat (diced) mixed in with Diamond Naturals Beef and rice dried. (Happy Camper.) He does okay.

Top marks from me. I dont know howthey can ship so cheaply. But fast delivery cheaper than the store. Lost my dog 0 -
We use chewy and have been very satisfied. We did stop the periodic deliveries as our senior dog goes through periods of not liking certain foods. Therefore we end up changing the mix pretty often. We have purchased probably monthly from them for the last couple of years. 0 -
Yes
Good outfit, fast shipping and an OK price point with coupons.

I am glad you like it. How do your dogs feel about the Salmon and sweet potatoes and the deer and turkey food?

We feed our Springer the Natural Balance Sweet Potato and Fish formula canned food and also their dry food of the same mix. She has become picky as she gets older 14+ but she likes these.0 -

If you use "Autoship, save 5-10%" can you vary the variety? I like to vary my dogs food, so it does not become monotonous. I guess I need to communicate with them.
Sam, do you have to fight the dogs for it? Or do you all share? I've heard you can punk them Golden Retrievers rather easily.

Not like a Pit.

Yes,....you can change your shipment each time if you would like. They send out e-mails telling you how many days you have left to make changes before your order is shipped. I change quantities and shipment times on a regular basis, and have never had a screw up take place.KenK/84Bravo wrote:Marc1301 wrote:Been using them for several years with no issues whatsoever. Used to, but they raised their prices. If I'm paying damn near retail, I'll stop in town and give the business locally. 0 -
Thank you for the input, all. I appreciate it. 0 -

My wife buys from them frequently and loves them. They have items/brands and quantities that retail stores don't offer. They are just 15 miles from me and sometimes I get the order the next day. 0 -
Just now feeding dog (Buddy) about 1/2 lb. rough diced marinated/cooked Deer meat in with his Diamond Naturals, beef and rice blend, dried kibble.
He loves it. Going to town on it, as we speak.
He is a great dog, (best I have ever had) and deserves the best I can offer him.
Thank you, for all the input.
I also prefer to shop locally, unless I can get a much better deal for the $$ online.
95-99% of my purchases are locally sourced. BTW.0 -
I haven't yet, but I am going to. They sent my friend flowers when she cancelled her order because her dog died. They are a sweet company and I've heard several nice things about them.
I worry that my mail carrier will hate me if they send my dog food by US mail. I sure hope it comes UPS because I get 60 pound bags of one kind of food. Just dealing with my outgoing shipping is a lot for them to deal with. I'm sure she will take early retirement if I put more on her.0 -

Thank you Sir.
I am leaning towards giving them a try.
They sound like a Stand Up Company.
I appreciate the feedback.0 -
We just got a new dog and we needed a new tag, quick, with our address and phone numbers.
All I knew about Chewy was, they spend a lot of money on ads. And also, the company is only 5 years old. Did not exist 6 years ago.
And about 6 months ago, somebody bought Chewy for $3 Billion. From zero to 3 Billion in five years, they got to be doing something right.
So I ordered the tags from Chewy and they got here in 2 days. Last week I ordered some hard-to-find dog food and it got here in 3 days.
These guys are the Amazon of dog food, they are a great company.0 -
Top Marks on cat food and other cat products. Good prices, often the best, and free shipping. On 50 of canned cat food, that is a savings. 0 -

Sigh,.....................................................................................I have previously thrown that down. He has either chosen to ignore it, or?? :?
It is no fun poking fun at some people, if it is not reciprocated. Those damn "Lifer," Rangers - have no sense of humor.
Well, he has been hanging out with Ricci, "Rocco," lately. That probably explains it.

not sure the sonic food would be any better than salmon and sweet potatoes.......KenK/84Bravo wrote:toad67 wrote:Sam06 wrote:Yes

I have been in GA, no internet there(At least where I stay and I don't have a smart phone)
As far as what my dogs like they eat anything to include deer poop so I doubt they are going to be too picky about dog food

Ms. WT buys all her cat?s food, most of the treats and some of the toys from chewy. She?s pretty happy with the prices and selection.
I get my pup?s food from petsmart and his toys and such from Amazon (yay prime!).0
