Thoughts?
I have a bunch of ammo for one and I am trying to get one on the auction side. I like the Beretta 81. I have one in 22lr so I think the 32 would be a good companion.
Anyone have experience with the 32?

I just bought an 81 from another site and it is a fun little pistol. No recoil at all. Spare mags are almost impossible to find. 0 -
I see that but I have a spare mag and 350 rounds of ammo I got in a trade of a bunch of reloading stuff I inherited and didn't need.
I think it would be a good pocket gun/ primary cc piece.
How does it shoot?

It's more accurate than I am. Little big for a pocket pistol. I would have no problem carrying it as my main. 75 rounds through it so far without an issue, nice trigger as well.
I agree with you about Beretta's Sam, I have collected quite a few of em.

Darn, that made me go find my model 70. Mid size minus - but a fine piece. Shot maybe 60 rounds through it with various ammo and no FTF's. Jem of a piece of great design, imo. 0 -

Sam without a doubt this is the gun. Can't you just see yourself walking around Walmart wearing that big holster and mag porch?? And you will need to practice popping that stock into place cause it looks sooo cool. I have always wanted one. I wonder if anyone makes night sights?? I have a 1903 Colt that is absolutely the most accurate pistol I have. Even my Daughter put a round dead center of a target from about 10 yards away the very first time she ever picked up a firearm. She's never shot a gun since. Said she proved herself and she wasn't going to push her luck. I use mine for coons, groundhogs, possums, and other pests. Never a hiccup of any kind.
Earlier this year I tried to find some more brass for it and came up empty handed. That's the only issue I have with it, the brass is too easily lost in the grass.0 -
had a .32 derringer. fun little pop gun, that's it. most experts agree leave it for plinking and target shooting, nothing serious. you will be disappointed.
powerful as .22WMR in a short barrel but a whole lot quieter
designed for a longer barrel than 380. needs 4". all these 2 and 3 inch barrels are selling it short.

I had one of the KelTec P 32's. When they first came out. Only reason I bought it, is they hadn't started production, of the .380. Had to be careful when loading it. As the 32 ACP, was semi-rimed. Rim-lock could be disastrous, in a personal protection handgun.
The 32 ACP, was the first pistol cartridge of John Browning, that went into production. Believe it was in 1899, when he first took it over to FN in Belgium.
Got rid of P 32 quickly. As I was no longer working. Had no use for a deep concealment mouse gun. Wearing Carhart heavy duty work pants. My EDC, was either a 9 mm or a 40 S & W. Who needs a mouse gun?0 -
rim lock certainly is a problem. over at the Kel-Tec Owners Group (KTOG) website they are very much aware of it and they have ways to alter the magazine to eliminate that problem. 0 -

My favorite .32 ACP is the Kel-Tec P-32. It just weighs 6.6 ounces empty which is a little over an ounce lighter than my Kel-Tec P-3AT .380. 0 -

I have owned ( & fired ) about a Bunch of .32s : Fun , Never really considered it a serious caliber ( I know a bazillion have been killed with a .32 ) !
Wish I had kept rhe Keltec , it was really neat ! I still own ( in the back of the safe ) a Jennings ( dont laugh ) and a Davis Derr. as well as a few other odd & ends .32s : as well as a Charter ( in 32 mag. - different I know ) :

I have a Beretta Tomcat in 32 nice little pocket pistol , all so have used 32acp in my Ruger Single Six in 32 H&R mag, kind of like a 32 short 0 -
I was looking at the Tomcat but I have seen articles where the slide cracked and they are going for more than the M81(Plus I have a M81 magazine but no gun).
I would consider it as a viable CC gun. I am changing my attitudes toward civilian CC as I get older.0 -

Sell that 81 magazine to offset the cost.
My limited research indicates that the model 81 "Cheetah," is a very nice designed .32.

if that's what you want... you will eventually get more ammo and some 32's may not be able to handle the hot stuff. the P32 had a warning in the user manual that it could only take up to 200 KE so the other plastic guns are probably similar. if you get an older steel gun the frame can take it (unless it's a Tomcat) but can the chamber handle hi pressure of modern ammo. 0 -
I have a number, all from the WWII era. I consider it a fairly useless cartridge. My father thought it the smallest that would knock a man down. His Walther PP bring back was/is certainly loud if not really powerful. Yeah, better than no gun at all, but most you might be shooting it out with will likely have at least 9mm. 0 -

One gun I seriously regret selling was a 1960?s era Walther PP in .32acp. Low recoil and surprisingly accurate. With quality ammunition I would carry one. 0 -

Given the new Hornady Critical Defense, and other similar offerings, I would carry/use one.
Would not want to take a round of that. Much less 7.
Are there better choices/offerings? Of course. Would I feel undergunned carrying one? (Say my CZ27) No.0 -

I used to have one and traded it off. They are pretty nice and especially easy to use for someone that has weak hands where the barrel flips up instead of having to rack the slide.0
