What is your favorite mouse trap bait??
I have always used peanut butter but I have 8 traps set right now, all baited with peanut butter and the results are kind of spotty.
Anybody found something to bait the traps with that them nasty little pee and poop on my tools bastages cannot resist?? :evil: :twisted: :evil: Something that smells so tempting that they will stand in line to commit suicide?!?

I recall years ago a study was done on the subject. Turns out they like candy best and the top-rated bait in the test was gum drops, specifically yellow ones. 0 -

A pinch of fresh bread works better than peanut butter but it needs replaced when it dries out. Peanut butter is better if the traps need to stay set for awhile as it's more odorous than dried out bread. 0 -
I buy a bag of skittles. I?ve found they like green ones the best. So I just eat the other colors.

caught more mice with glue traps than I ever did with spring traps. set up properly 0 -
Another vote for glue traps.
I always used peanut butter on a spring trap. My Grandma would slightly cook a piece of bacon and tie it on with thread. She swore by her method.
I've had good luck with Glue Traps.0 -
Grandma knew best, gearhead. Lightly cooked bacon, securely tied to the trigger bar. Irresistible.
Mice run along edges for safety. Put traps (spring or glue) right against the wall in a dark place.0 -
I just put up a sign sorta like the places that don't allow guns that hang the no guns allow signs. Since it works for them it ought to work for me. 0 -
