Driving Music Anybody?

Properly tuned engine and well designed exhaust is the only music you need for Driving.
Anything else is just entertainment while boringly transporting yourself.
Was waiting at a light last week, had my phone plugged into radio supplying music from a rather random and eclectic music collection... Bach's Tocatta and Fuge in D Minor came on. Hotter than heck out, still had to roll down the windows and share with the folks around. Got several "thats cool!" comments as we all drove off....0 -

Driving is probably the most dangerous thing I do. I do not want any distractions like music.
My Highlander has a JBL sound system. In the six years I've owned it, I have yet to turn it on.0 -

Yup.....haven't turned on a radio in the jeep, pickup or Harley in near forever.
Well, I admit I did turn them on right after buying them to see if the stupid thing worked.0 -
I thought there was something wrong with me but there appears there are others who can take it or leave it. My wife is worse than I am.
She or I haven?t bought any music media in the 27 years we?ve been together.
I still think there?s something wrong with me, but it doesn?t have anything to do with music.0 -

Folks who drive places they've never been to and listen to Sirius and Pandora have no idea what they're missing. I do coast to coast every few years. Sometimes 95 to 80, sometimes 95 to 40 and sometimes 95 to 10. I always listen to local radio. AM is better than FM. Learned more about cows and corn and irrigation and alfalfa and Jesus auctions and a whole lot of other stuff. The internet stuff is McDonalds for the ears. 0 -

I was driving down the interstate jamming to some Pantera and got alongside a Harley and I'll be damned if that music wasn't made to be played right next to the exhaust pipe of a Harley

Glad I'm not the only one. I haven't bought any music since 8 track tapes were popular.
After that, 99% of what played on the radio and elsewhere was just "NOISE POLLUTION" :!:

Denver to Florida... that first stretch to Witchita ... Unfortunately, was stuck in a Boring Car, so yes, had the music going. grew up listening to Poppin' Johnnies all day all summer ( and many weekends too). I can still drive with just a good engine sound for entertainment.
When I got married the rule in our family was that the driver controlled the radio.
Especially important when we had to make annual trips back to Texas from Kentucky. 24 or so hours on the road back then.
I preferred classical/easy listening for driving due to lack of ads and DJ blabber. LOML preferred oldies.
then came the day #1 son had his license and took his turn driving. He got behind the wheel, clicked seat belt and -- with great glee -- hit the button on the radio for some ROCK!.0 -
makes me miss the 79 silver trans am.....head it out and put on Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries" that would make it wind up like a rocket 0 -
