Edit I don't fully disagree with a court of law finding a person to be insane enough to not be allowed access to firearms after evaluation by a head doc and full consideration of their rights, but if they are crazy enough to be dangerous to the public with firearms same goes for vehicles etc. Lock em up.

    Just heard Trumpy on the radio say he WILL have some gun control proposals to Congress this week. But of course in the same breath he said we have to protect the 2nd Amendment. Nothing like talking out of both sides of your mouth.

    Never. And why would they need to when the courts can just continue to water it down into irrelevancy?

    The words in the 2nd Amendment are clear, concise and leave no room for controversy. All it takes is a legal challenge and a SC majority that believes in the works of the constitution as written.
    Because of President Trump, we are getting there. :D

    We all know with the over 10,000 firearm laws/regulations on the books already the laws are not stringently enforced. When I had a FFL, there were a number of DENIALS received on background checks.

    Most of these were local people, and NOT ONCE was a single person charged with lying of the 4473.

    What say other FFL holders?

    That doesn't even begin to address any of the issues with Red Flag laws.
