I am gonna be a Grandpa
Our son and his wife are expecting their first child, due on April 11th. They surprised us with the news about three weeks ago and they had their first ultra sound today.
Wifey is already shopping for baby furniture for a nursery for their house and our house.
We are crazy excited

Great for the family. You and the wife enjoy this new chapter in your book of life. 0 -

Congratulations, grandpa. I was lucky enough to have known both of my grandfathers and one of my great grandfathers. 0 -
Congrats! Our first came in January, and it's a wonderful thing. The house is as full of youngin' equipment as it was when our son was born. 0 -

The best thing about having grandchildren is that you can spoil them and send them home! I told my daughter that she was paying for her raising!

Congratulations to the parents and grandparents to be! 0 -
Years ago, I was telling a fellow about my grandsons and said, "But you know how it is with your grand kids..."
He sharply replied, "No, I don't! I don't have any grand children!"
By way of apologizing I explained, "I suppose grand children just aren't that big a deal...until you get some of your own."
A couple years later I got an email from him that said simply, "You were right."0 -
Many congrats! 0 -

I don't understand the big "GA GA" about grandkids.
Mine all live hundreds of miles away, some I've never seen and no big deal IMO.0 -
