Glad to see they are using GPS. I worked the 2000 census & for the first part we had to mark addresses on maps using the odometer on our car.
My job was to spot check the people who had spot checked the original people. I would sometimes drive over 100 miles just to check out a handful of addresses. Then the same thing for the final census. I worried about how much money I was using for such small results but they told me I wasn't using enough. "If we don't spend all the money we have been allotted, they will cut us for the next time."
Badge? Never had no stinking badge but did have ID. First time they used laptops & the program STUNK.

Well this guy had an ID, I really didn't look too close at it because I figured he was some kind of Government agent out to kill me and replace me with an illegal immigrant.

The whole this was actually painless and harmless. I am looking forward to the Census. Here in NC we have redrawn the district lines several times and they have all been thrown out because they are gerrymandered.

I wouldn't fret the helicopters, Sam, they'll probably just drop a JDAM on your front porch. :o

Wait until you get a visit from the American Community Survey folks. Lots of fun to be had with that. My address in their records was so far off from reality the Census guy admitted that I likely did not receive the survey due to Postal Service not knowing where to deliver it.

If they are going to count illegal aliens, count me out! Not answering the door or their questions.

I think you are a little light on the paracord cause it is good for so many things. You'll need about 200 gals of water for the dehydrated rations and probably can't count on being near a source. Better add 1/2 dozen leatherman tools in various configurations. Maybe you could leave one knife behind to save weight. Bob

Single skunks works AF-111X Aardvark flying nap of the earth...

Internal storage rotary bomb rack dispenses in order:

    Durendal paveway

    Napalm canister

    White phosphorus jdam

    Fuel air mine

CBU filled with antipersonal contact and fuse detonated submunitions and a mix of delayed burst or contact triggered anti personal mines

Just to be sure and to discourage the curious...

    :o

Dude used the GPS so if he turns up missing/dead they'll come a knocking at your door. Also you do know you don't have to open the door.

A Census guy just came to my door.

Dogs went nutz I look out and see some guy I don't know.

I open the door and its some goofy looking old dude with a laptop in his hands.

He hands me a Census 2020 piece of paper shows me his badge and asks me my address.........So I give it too him.

He pushes some buttons and now he has a GPS point for my residence................ :o

I am waiting for the black helicopters to arrive.

BTW this is the 1st time this has happened to me where i live now.

I am loading magazines as I type and my BOB is ready to go. I have 15 knives 12 ways to make a fire, 8000 rounds of various ammo, 3 gps's and 4 compasses. Enough dehydrated food and survival crackers for a month, 2 hatchets and 3 saws, 22185 feet of para cord,3 binos, Gold and Silver plus currencies from 18 different country's and a signal mirror...................Now if I can just find someone to carry it :D

I believe you were scammed !

Quote: The ?day? of the census is April 1, on every year that ends in a ?0?. When you get a form in the mail, you are to answer the questions as if that was your situation on April 1. The enumerators, that count the people who live in nursing homes, and military bases, and hospitals, and jails, and other ?transients?, like homeless shelters, obtain the information that is the situation on April 1.

    :o

Over the past 6 days, I've driven nearly 1000 miles doing data collection for a Federal agency. During a census year, I'll do that for 5-7 weeks.
