Hiding spare keys

Without going into specifics, Where /or if does anyone hide the spare set of keys. Mine is an old paint can, stilled covered in the paint runoff, although the inside is dry and clean. I even put in a piece of foam and a rock to provide weight.

I have a couple of out buildings that both have 1/2 opened pain cans ( I just can't throw away once used paint ). It's easy to hide about anything there.

UNLESS YOU KNEW WHICH ONE ( REAL ROCK VS FAKE ROCK ) IT WAS,, YOU'D BE THERE FOREVER TRYING TO FIND THE ONE HOLDING THE SIDE DOOR KEY...

    I would expect after the fourth or fifth failed attempt, you would just use the next rock you picked up to smash the window - and then walk on down the sidewalk.

    - or -

    You might just do that on the first draw.

    You ever wonder what to do with those "orphan" keys you find? The ones that don't fit any lock you have?

    Hide them in the obvious spare key places.

    On the door jamb next to my gun safe, I have penciled in a combination. Not the right one.

    I like that idea. It will drive the Executor of my Estate crazy.
