Enormously Proud -
Watching 15 Septembers later.
The untold stories of 9/11.
Reading a text a Mother had sent her Son aboard Flight 93, for instance.
"Three hijacked flights have been flown into buildings. If you can overpower these guys, do it. Love you, Mom."
Totally choked me up.
The untold stories, that have not been released up until now, are humbling.
Like the two Marines that rescued the two trapped NYPD guys. The one Marine disappeared after doing so, for 5 years after the fact, and finally came forward.
The F-16 Pilots scrambled to intercept flight 93. "Take it down." They were not armed, and would have had to ram it. Watched an interview with a female NG Pilot, discussing that fact/realization. She states " The real Heroes were those aboard flight 93 that took matters in to their own hands. Those are the Heroes."
Americans are the Greatest People on Earth. We may forget that from time to time. (And all are not included in that statement.) [But] Our Best, rise to the occasion when necessary/needed.
God Bless the United States of America.
Yes, I have tears rolling down my cheeks.

Thinking about the faith this mother had in her son and what it took to write that knowing he may not survive the attempt gets to me.0 -

Am I on the wrong site?
Oh well, Carry on.
Not like 9/11 means anything, to anyone anymore.

An eye opening statement made was that, ""All Texts made that day were captured, and archived."
Heads up people.

I am glad it hits you this way Sir.
It should hit every single American this way.
We should Bomb them, every single 9/11, so they "Don't Forget."0 -
Don?t take it the wrong way. Its a hard day for everyone & some prefer to reflect alone. That doesn?t make them unpatriotic. KenK/84Bravo wrote:96 reads. Two postings beyond my own.

Not trying to denigrate anyone here.
I get kind of emotional on this date.0 -
I remain,
Enormously Proud of America. (If you are not of the same mindset, then you need to leave.)
And will continue to be so and remain so, until the very end.

Greatest Country Ever.
A rough day for all of us, for sure.
I come from the school of, the networks should show all the people(Americans) jumping from the towers to escape the fire and the Taliban(Raghead Goat f'n bastages) celebrating in the streets every day and every night!
Proud to be an American.0 -

I remember and in my own way mark the event and honor the fallen and those that brought the fight...
However sadly to me this day marks the usurpation of my America by the dems - libs - progs - alt left - socialist - communist - fascist - haters and in the tank immoral so called media propaganda arm of the rabidly insane snowflake lemming leprosy and cancer like factions whom have dominated and decried and destroyed our culture and country...
The media marks the anniversary not to honor those who paid the ultimate price but as another excuse to blame the right / the conservatives / the real Americans for every imagined fault or fanciful conspiracy...
The Jew's knew in advance and were absent from the buildings - George Bush used spec ops demo teams to drop the towers - we were tools of the Saudis and on their payroll - we asked for it and deserved it - it was a fictional excuse to start a war for control of oil - etc...
To me the scales tipped and the decline has continued and accelerated since that day.
It not only saddens and sickens me it brings thoughts of violent rebellion.
But yes Ken I remember and I always will honor our Hero's and present the truth and the facts no matter how unpleasant and unwelcome they may be.
More people mark the date as an excuse to stand on the bodies of the dead to advance their own false narrative and unctuous agenda - and it fills me with rage and hate.

I didn?t get a picture and by the time I stopped too much time had lapsed on the dashcam to get the video of it. Maybe someone else got a pic and it will be found on social media.
I-80, Iowa City, Iowa area headed west, came up on an overpass and there in the middle on top was a man standing there holding up a huge flag on a pole. He was just standing there watching traffic and holding that flag up. I sounded off the horns as I went under that overpass, and got a little choked up, someone still gets it.0 -
even with the people causing probles we have in the country ( and they do not relize only in our country could they get away with so much BS )
I am proud and every time I see a american flag waving ( we keep one up by th eway ) I can not help but think of thoes who have given so much if not all to keep that flag free
there is still countless great people in our country and a few make the news normaly as a filler for a time slot sadly the news focuses on the bad as it sells news time ,
bottom line all of us should be proud and thank full we live here0 -
And on this September 11th Mackenzie signed her paperwork to join the United States Coast Guard...
They will pay for the rest of her education - he completion of college and a 4 yr BS degree - they have a science based research program that winters over in Antarctica performing experiments and maintaining the facility and assisting with vessels that drill core samples...
She has qualified for (top 1% nation wide scores) for not only this special science research polartech program but for junior officers training as well...
It appears that she will get her desired primary MOS and her secondary is going to be boarding party and landing party security response team...
I am no expert but it looks like a 4 year term with reserve or guard obligations afterward and from what I can tell a good chunk of that will be continuing her education...
Also at 21 she just received her NRA instructors certificates for rifle and pistol and shotgun and home defense and hunter safety and range safety officer copies of which were turned over to the USCG...
She has now achieved the level of sharpshooter III in smallbore pistol - expert I in smallbore rifle and marksman first class in trap shooting - expert I in air rifle (10 meter)
Also a presidential sports award for archery
So Sept 11 has additional importance to us now
I understand they have a 50 foot indoor 4 position smallbore rifle range for interservice competition and postal matches (international) and a respectable woman's team that shoot a combination of older anshutz and Kimber bolt action Olympic style entry level .22 lr rifles
Getting formal letters of recommendation from 3 professors and the Dean were key aspects in seeking entrance into the polartech program along with being on the Dean's list and having a 4.0 GPA for two years
Fascinating.
