Ruger .375
Got a Ruger model 77 rifle chambered for the .375 Ruger cartridge with a 20" barrel. I just read the factory Hornady 250 grain bullet is supposed to run 2800 fps and their 300 grain is doing 2550 fps. I would have to name her "Thumper" if she was mine. Has a Weaver 1x5x24 Dangerous Game scope mounted in Ruger rings. Also a set of iron sights with a white vertical stripe on the rear and a big white dot on front. They put it in a Hogue over molded stock which I think has an aluminum bedding block. The barrel is free floated for sure. The action is nice and smooth and the trigger is great. The big gun is unfired and I am told there will be some factory ammo available as well. Another cool gun needing a good home. I will get her listed soon.

250 grain bullet at 2800 is pretty good. That's about what my 338 Win. Mag. is doing.

That is a well designed modern cartridge. No useless belt, fits in a standard action.
The old H&H cartridges had to be designed the way they are to accommodate the long "sticks" of powder they were filled with in the early days of smokless powder.0 -

I think that is the Ruger Alaskan. They come with a Houge stock, Iron sights.
