Case Trimmer Question.
I'm getting back into reloading after a 30+ year hiatus. Mainly because I have pieced together a 6.5-06, and one doesn't just go buy ammo for that. Anyway, I'll be needing a case trimmer and am looking at this one: https://www.gunbroker.com/item/828783676 . Can I still get pilots for that? The new ones I am seeing seem to be a different model. Back in the day I had a Lee hand case trimmer, and all that stuff is around here somewhere. I do not remember how the pilots work for that though. I don't remember if the pilots fit tight inside the case neck, or if I could use my 30-06 pilot for trimming, or maybe get a 25-06 pilot for the Lee trimmer. Any other thoughts/input on case trimmers? TIA for any input.

the one you asked about already has your pilot (27) and yes you can get more pilots for this 0 -
I like my Forster's better but that's a good price. I think you need a 26, I doubt a 27 will fit in a 6.5mm. 0 -
I have an older fosters that works the same way, this older RCBS uses a "T" bar to tighten and loosen EVERY case can get tiresome real fast, but they do a fine job.
The unit shown is of an older version , the newer ones have a universal shell holder and a simple lever action to tighten and loosen, much easier to use.
If your're only going to do a few cases no problem, but any type of volume use will be a pain in your hand.0 -
Check this one out, HPD. A bit easier to use and the same price.
