Kenmore Dishwasher

Looking at a new Kenmore dishwasher. The local Sears (Yeah, a few are still open.) has what appears to be a decent sale going ?til Sat. Delivered, it?s about $400 off from when I looked a few weeks back. Anyone have thoughts/experiences with the brand? Any idea who really makes them before the Kenmore brand goes on?

    Kenmore is actually whirlpool. The company markets Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Gladiator GarageWorks, Inglis, Estate, Brastemp, Bauknecht, Ignis, Indesit, and Consul. Whirlpool Corporation is the world's largest home appliance maker.

    Mine also. Hope she never breaks down. Parts for those old models are getting hard to find. Have noticed a little more grumbling noise while the dishes are being done. I ignore the grumbling noise because I don't want to interrupt the wash cycle. :lol:

    My dishwasher is a "Kathryn" and definitely not made by Whirlpool. She can become a real cyclone however if she sees what I wrote in this post! :lol::o

    Funny you should post this. On Wednesday I picked up a new Kenmore range from Sears. We looked at many over the last few months and this was the one my wife wanted. I was a little hesitant due to Sears financial situation but figured that I had bought many Kenmore appliances in the past and had got good life out of them. Since Kenmore is made by a major manufacturer I figured parts and service would be available in the future. I did not buy the extended warranty. Check the reviews and if they are decent I say go for it.

    Thanks guys, I appreciate the replies. I'm gonna give this unit another look, see if I can talk them into selling me the "floor model" for less...probably not, but it's worth a try.

    Sometimes it's worse. We discuss hemorrhoids and other ailments from time to time including personal hygiene. Though few here take the advice on personal hygiene it seems. :D

    Had a kenmore and was completely satisfied with it. It finally gave up after about 22 years. I was going to buy a new kenmore but sears had a bosh on sale so i bought it. A fantastic dishwasher so quiet you don't even know it's running, water efficient and does a great job. Would recommen looking at the bosch.

    Kenmore appliances were very good back in the days when Sears was a quality outfit. Of course Sears never made much of anything, but they used to use high quality suppliers. Today all bets are off. Chances are that Kenmore dishwasher was made in China, or at least major components were. If not, they were made in Mexico or somewhere else by the lowest bidder.
