College Football, Week 2

Hoping my Aggies can put up a decent showing against Clemson. I think the better game will actually be Texas vs. LSU. They keep saying Texas is back. Guess we will find out tomorrow. :D

    Well, cheese and kites...BOTH my college teams have off weeks.

    The SEC was embarrassed by Big-12 teams in last year's bowl games going 1 and 3, but Alabama saved some face for the less than vaunted SEC, at least until Clemson crushed Alabama in the championship game. That said, the SEC will be out to regain some face in today's big game: LSU vs Texas.

    The Tigers are returning 2/3rds of their starters from last year, while Texas was decimated with losses. Couple this disadvantage with Texas only having one healthy running back and they, by all rights, should be a 2 to 3 TD underdog, instead of just 1. Add to this the fact that Texas has a better historical won-loss advantage, with LSU looking to get some revenge for their last loss of 35-20 in the 2002 Cotton Bowl...and it could be a very long day for the Horns. With all of that said...most Texans would probably call it a toss-up.

    TAM and Clemson should be a great game, too.

    Alabama has won the National Championship 5 times in the past 9 years. No other team is even close. Other teams fans talk a lot but it's BS. The proof is in the pudding!

    Even when they didn't win the championship in these past 9 years they were in the championship game 2 of those 4 years.

    Georgia has a scrimmage game today with Murray St. whoever they are, at least it'll look good in the win column later in the year.....sic'em Dogs :lol:
