It's nice but
This damn rifle is guaranteed to shoot 3/8 moa and it has the best of everything but it weights 11.5 lbs with no sights or optic. It's in .300 Win mag and it's brown. I got it photographed and will get it listed soon. It is unfired and cost almost $5000,00 and they tell me they are 10 months behind on orders. You will need a good piece of glass and rings which will probably eat up most of three thousand dollar bills.

That is an expensive rifle.
I have an Accuarcy Int, a Remington PSS R5 and a Steyr SSG 69; all in 308/7.62. I would bet if you put the same scope and carefully worked up a load for each one there would not be much of difference in accuracy between them out to 800 meters.
As they are the Remington shoots the best with handloads, the AI and the SSG shoot factory ammo the best with the AI a little more accurate at the longer ranges but I believe that is due to it having a better scope.
Of the 3 if I had to pick one to go to war with it would be the SSG because out to 800 meters it does just fine(And it has Iron sights
)
A GAP in 300 mag would be an awesome rifle for shots to 1500 meters. For a 5K rifle you need a really good scope just to get all the potential out of the gun. I would look at a Nightforce Optics 5.5-22x56 NXS I think you can get them for under 2K0 -
to each their own, just not something for me, I could fill up a gunsafe for the price of the rifle and scope, and not ever be able to use its potential to hunt. around here if you ever get a 100 yard shot it is considered a "long" shot. most deer shots in the woods would be 50-75 on average. 0 -
I have always been rather fond of the Walther WA-3000 and the MAS 36 derived MAS FR F1 and F2 bolt action sniper rifle platforms - certainly I can see the patent design and architecture advance from my Model 1916 Lebel based on the 1886/93 using the Ball D cartridge...
My FN49 sniper variant is also endearing and has certain ineffable qualities.
The H&K PSG-1 would be my weapon of choice across all mission location and profiles.
SSG-82 East German take on the sniper rifle is worthy...
The Barret bolt action .50 is oft forgotten and misunderstood.
