    I will admit that about once a year I go into a WalMart. Never have I bought any ammo or a gun there. I refuse to buy groceries there and about the only things I pick up are garden supplies if they are on sale. Anyway they won't lose much by me not going back but I guess I'll just take my little bit of business elsewhere. Bob

    Hi Mark,

    We have been working to understand the many important issues that arose from the horrific events in El Paso and Southaven, as well as those that have been raised in the national discussion around gun violence.

    We?ve updated our Open Carry Policy to respectfully request that customers no longer carry firearms into our stores or Sam's Clubs in states where ?open carry? is permitted ? unless they are authorized law enforcement officers.

    We often adjust our assortments for business needs and due to recent events, we are making necessary changes. We will continue to serve our customers with an assortment that reflects the wants and needs they come to us for every day.

    We will discontinue and sell existing inventory of handgun ammunition.

    We will discontinue and sell existing inventory of certain short-barrel rifle ammunition, such as the .223 caliber and 5.56mm that, while commonly used in some hunting rifles, can also be used in large capacity magazines on military-style weapons.

    We will discontinue and sell existing inventory of handguns in Alaska, which means we will no longer sell handguns in any stores.

    I find it very sad that Walmart has caved to the liberal hype and will stop supporting the 2nd Amendment rights of law abiding Americans. By "limiting" what you sell due to some perceived outrage, it's a first step to the next limit they wish to impose on you. Fortunately, I have other places to purchase ammunition as well as clothes, groceries, home goods and the like. You should check your demographics closely. The liberal elite are too good to shop at Walmart. The blue collar working class do. And we support the 2nd.

    Something I have noticed is Walmart has stopped carrying certain products, not just ammo. They do however replace those certain products with similar products or the Walmart brand product (the lowest quality).

    The reason is obvious when you think about it - profit margin. Why would they carry a product they only make 2 dollars on when the can sell a lower quality product with 4 dollar profit?

    So I suspect, as previously mentioned, Walmart will continue to sell "quality" ammo if the profit margin is great.

    Two-faced, lying, scamming, Chinee-selling, anti-American, gouging, pigs!

    And along with Walmart and Kroger, Walgreens is banning open carry even if legal in your State.
