Walther PK380 opinions
The wife shot one of these the other day and really liked it. The slide is extremely easy to operate, the trigger is very crisp in SA and tolerable in DA, and most importantly......she shot really good groups with it and liked how "it felt in her hand." :shock:
Anyways, I'm not looking for a .380 round debate here, just some opinions on the pistol itself? I find it unfortunate it doesn't have a safety/decocker and find the no slide stop a little off. Otherwise, I think it's a really nice shooting, like recoiling, and affordable little pistol.
I'm thinking on maybe getting one for the wife and myself. I'm a big proponent of having at least 1 "common" gun in the family and I'm thinking this one may fit the bill.

We never had any problems with them and we sold them and had them as rental guns. You said your lady liked it and if she shot it well then that?s so very important. I didn?t stock any guns I wouldn?t have been willing to depend on myself and I did stock the Walther .380. 0 -

shot up zombie target after the Ladies puts some rounds down range from 7 yards
as for the Walther, it handles well, shoots good but there are some things I don't like about it
to me the safety is backwards , lever is up to fire , down for safe and all the safety does is rotate a firing pin block up so the hammer can't strike the firing pin , it doesn't lock the hammer or any thing else .
the mag release is a small lever on both side of the trigger guard, you use the tip of your finger to push it, which is so different than any other release it's hard to remember how to use the darn thing
the slide does stay open after that last shot is fired but you have to drop the mag to release the slide, again a pain in the rear
both my Wife and Daughter can shoot the S&W Shield , Sig P250 or the Ruger LC380 with no problem but the 2 small 380 , they can't work the slide nor do they like the recoil from the little ones0
