The Bahama's are annihilated,..........
This is about as bad as it gets. Hopefully there wasn't a large death toll since they are used to preparing for hurricanes. They have never seen one like this before though.

Ok Don where is Canada?????????????? How about Aruba or other Commonwealth country's in the effected area.
They are another Commonwealth country with not too far to go.
The point I am making is we wade in and help many people with no thought of recompense even when our own people may need help and still the EU and others look down on us.
They should be KOA...................

I would be totally in favor of some kind of emergency help on a temporary basis giving the Brits time to start their own help. Lets face it, you want something done quick, we got to do it. Who else in the world can do a major rescue effort done right now?? I'm all for flying in food, water, etc. and keeping the people alive until the Brits can get their sorry asses moving. After two weeks if the Brits still can't get their crap together keep flying in the food but bill the Brits for the total cost of everything including transport and paying for our military to do the work +20% profit.
Even though they wouldn't get the message it would be a good study, capitalism versus socialism!!

I was watching the news and they were showing video of the Bahamas. The Border Patrol is there in UH-60's lifting people to dry land. There are tons of food and blankets and clothes arriving every hour from the US. The USCG is there with boats and Choppers and now the Royal Navy has a ship in the area..............woooooooooooooohoooooooooo
I also saw that Prince William took his kids to school today. He was on the news smiling like a jackass eating briers and all I could think of is "isn't this chinless jackass a rescue pilot when he works 3 days a year".0 -

I think the US should provide what immediate aid and support they can to get them through the immediate crisis, however it sounds like bullets are beginning to fly, with looting and violence and I don't think we, the US should allow ourselves to get dragged into a long term peace keeping mission or reconstruction endeavor. Perhaps thr huge casino resorts can pitch in to save their island. 0 -
