It didn't really say much about why, or what they found. Could have also been a ruse by the powers that be to persuade distrust union leadership.

I too have been on both sides of the union, even been an officer. I am sure I'll piss a few people off by this, but I think they have largely outlived their usefulness.

Way back when they were first organized they were a great benefit for the blue collar workers of America. However, it didn't't take long for the "fellows" to move in and make unions what they are today. Very unfortunate for all concerned.

Around this area I noticed when there was the threat of a company nearby unionizing,non-union companies paid well to keep unions out.Now that the threat of unions in the south are almost non existent, many of the big companies are paying new employees less than they did 20 years ago.People stayed with the company I worked with for 30 or 40 years.About the only time new people were hired was if someone retired or died. Now they are hiring 30 or 40 a month and 95% of them leave within about 3 months.

Yes, my father has long said that the Unions helped build the middle class in this country. However labor laws, regulations and access to the plaintiff's bar have caught up and undermined the need for unions. They have become political machines, and once leftist governments made union membership compulsory they changed their mission from good to nefarious.

I?ve been on both sides. Took me a while to figure out that a labor union?s main objective is to sign up new members. More members =more money.
