90th B-day Party for Mom Yesterday.
A good time was had by all. My Sister and her husband had rented a large house on 25 acres overlooking the New River in Freemont, NC. About 20 minutes East of Boone, NC.
Various generations came from all over, (my Bro. & his Wife flew in from NM.) Good food, good times, lots of laughs. Catching up with people I've not seen in a while. Definately a good time, I know my Mom enjoyed herself. Little ones running around everywhere. My Mom has 4 Sisters. 3 of them were there. Plus all their families and sub families/grandkids etc.
Burgers and dogs on the grill, my 15 marinated fresh Portabella's, potatoe salad, broccoli salad, carrot cole slaw, all the fixins. 3 large multi layer cakes. Ate almost too much food.
Brought home several large to go containers of potatoe salad, broccoli salad, several extremely large garden fresh tomatoes. Several large wedges of Chocolate Cherry Cheesecake, Chocolate Oreo cake, Strawberry layer cake, etc. I was too full to eat any dessert yesterday.
A good time.
I got there about an hour after my Mom, my Brother and his Wife. Decks loaded with people. Went up to Mom. Loudly told her (while hugging her) - "Happy 100th B-day Mom." Laughter ensued.

She tried to hit me. Can you believe that?
My GPS "re-calculated," about 15 times while I kept getting further and further out in the Boonies. I'm thinking, "No way." Nice place. For sale for $425,000. My Sister, her husband Steve and their two kids/spouses and their two kids each, are there for the week. I may go back over. Great part of the Family.
Several of us were surreptitiously carrying, no one knew but us. (Which is the point.) We formed our own little clique discussing our carry pieces and our "Pre-Boat Loss," collections.

Hey "Quality" leftovers are the key to Family get togethers. Uhh, I mean, "It is really great to see you all."
:?
Huge bowls of the stuff. Can't let it go to waste.
Besides, I brought lots of marinated Portabella's. A huge hit. Quartered and offered up on a heated plate, with the burgers and dogs, and all the fixings.0
