    I watched her on the car repair /upgrade show ( shows name slips my mind right now ) maybe all girls garage ?
    I did not know about her racing and speed endeavors . no good way to go but she was doing something she enjoyed

    I liked watching her on Extreme 4X4, she seemed to know her stuff in rock crawling and off roading. I was truly bummed when i saw this story yesterday. She died reaching for a life goal....I hope it was quick.

    I watch a couple of those shows. (Extreme 4X4 & Overhaulin'.) I had no idea that she was involved in land speed records/attempts.

    Yes, she knew her stuff. Yes, she will be missed.

    At least she died following her dream. At the speeds mentioned in the article, I would imagine the end was fairly quick. Like blink an eye quick.

    36 is way to young to go. RIP Jessi.

    Attempting to drive a jet plane converted into a "car" on a salt lake to break the record of 619 mph

    Land speed record for women - at those speeds you may as we not wear or use safety gear.

    I know that this pursuit of speed on the Bonneville flats dry salt lake bed is popular to the point of being crowded by drivers and teams...

    The thing about all that safety gear is that you just might live another 10 or 15 seconds - which can not be fun

    People have the right to pursue their dreams and happiness within reason - I find it ascribe no fault or blame with her - I am sure that statistically it's even a safe sport with a low incidence of death

    But I wonder about things sometimes.
