LA, SF, Seattle, Portland are liberal bastions and there?s most likely no cure for their massive homelessness at this point. Rampant drug addiction and mental illness has overwhelmed the system and the good people that still live there. The government has failed to do their job before it was too late. Almost 60K homeless on the streets of Los Angeles alone. You aren?t going to fix that no matter how much money you toss at it. It was 32K homeless in LA about 7 years ago. I rarely go to downtown Seattle anymore. We?re going in October but I?ll definitely be packing. The homeless and druggies have become quite aggressive in panhandling too. I visited SF a couple years ago with my kids and that will probably be the last time I ever go. Very aggressive panhandling and seeing people take a dump on the sidewalk when there were public toilets nearby was enough for me. 0 -
Being an "Optimist" I guess that if you look on the bright side, you can see all of this 3rd world country stuff without having to leave the country. Saves on travel expenses, without needing a visa or passport. No time wasted in customs or having to get cavity checked or x rayed and patted down by some gorilla in uniform. :roll: 0 -
All the big city shi t holes have one thing in common : Supermajority or total DEMOCRAT control.
These are the same DEMOCRATs that want to turn the whole United States into a manifestation of the same.

For all those who find this sort of thing acceptable as long as it's not on their doorstep, all I can say is "What a miserable bunch of losers".
I just joined a group of local residents who intend to force property owners in a "local village" to either clean up their property or forfeit that property to the village so we can clean it up. We'd prefer this to be amiable and legal but neither of those terms is a requirement.0 -

Well, I have seen this played out before. When you have a city/town full of DEMOCRATs, you acquire their justice system. Meaning liberal activist judges intent on maintaining status quo. Even worse, you can expect a countersuit for a host of allegations to include violations of civil rights and racism. Good luck.0 -
Not sure where you get the idea of a "city/town full of Dems". The village is approx 40 population and there are darned few Dems in rural America.
About 1/2 the properties will be acquired by simply paying back taxes so there's not a lot of interest from the current "owners".
BTW, threats and intimidation go a lot further when the county Sheriff is backing the ones making the threats. This ain't Mayberry, it's more like Hazzard county.0 -

Many people of means that voted all those progressive politicians into office and supported their polices are now fleeing the dumps that they created and spreading their politics where they relocate.
North Carolina, and Florida are now firmly purple states.
Have a hunting buddy that moves his business and his family from Charlotte to South Carolina because of liberal policies being enacted.

Such parasites mostly centralize in large cities controlled by DEMOCRATs because the DEMOCRATs lavish them with entitlements and welfare programs in exchange for their votes. The state of CA is one of the worse. Over 2/3 of all welfare and public assistance beneficiaries live in CA. Rewarding bad behavior has consequences.
As far as members of GOP, there are none in the large cities mentioned. If you can find one, he is in such a minority his political influence is nil.0
