`What is it?

I got this in a bunch of miccellaneous gun parts. I have no idea what it is or even if it is a gun part. Any ideas? Marked PAT.NOV.29/1904.

It could be a gun part. Looks like some sort of tube magazine regulator to control the feed into the lifter.

There was a meat grinder patented that day (Steinfeld Meat Grinder). Of course, other things could have received their patent that day too.

Part of a semiautomatic pistol hammer assembly - belonging to the group of parts between the trigger and the hammer...

I want to say colt or S&W.

Looks like the part that stops the cylinder from revolving in an old double action pistol.
Your pic 1621... the larger rounded tit goes up thru the frame and engages the cylinder notches.

sounds good to me.....
