Bust 'Em

I am proud to say that Judy and her co-chairman of the event are putting on the 10th annual Bust 'Em for Breast Cancer shoot at the Grand Blanc Huntsmans club Sept 21. Less than 4 weeks away and we are scurrying around getting things prepped for the event. Lot of work for her and her co-chair as well as the club. For the first 7 years we raised about 50 grand for the American cancer society but have changed to a local charity where 100 percent goes to support cancer patients and not some organizations employees. Years 8&9 we raised over 19 grand for them to help with things like co-pays, rent, mortgage and food. I met some of the patients and was amazed by their upbeat attitude and strong spirit. One bald young lady said the help given by the charity helped to relieve some of the burden her disease put on her entire family. She almost had this old fart crying and I was very humbled by her gratitude. The club is primarily shotgun sports and it seems we put on a lot of various charity shoots every year. I worry that the shooters will get tired of being hit up for funds but they keep coming back to the Bust 'Em shoot every year and I can't thank them enough. Wish us luck. Bob
