for you beer drinkers.......
gotta question, just left Krogers went to get a 12 pack, the cashier said she needed to SCAN my drivers liscense. I said no she said she couldn't sell me the beer, now I am old gray and almost bald I could understand if I was 20-30 ish. I told her she was not going to scan my liscense and gave her my concealed permit it has picture and birthdate I told her that was state law, just have to show picture ID issued by the state. she started in she would be fired, I spent 40 years with that company and told her that was BS, and if she didn't want to do it call her manager. some young fellow I had never seen came up and ask the problem, I told him and then said he was not going to scan my drivers liscense he said he could not sell me the beer then, I asked for a pen and his full name he gave me a funny look and ask why, I said I would call corporate in the morning and tell them you refused to sell me beer, even though I was legally abiding by state law which only requires you show picture ID. he said something under his breath and told her to overide the sale. I asked what he said and he only walked away, I told him to have a nice day and turned to the fellow in line behind me and told him I was sorry to hold him up as he had 2 big bags of dogfood, and ask him what if they refused to sell you the dogfood unless you showed then a dog liscense??? he just laughed..... maybe I went to far but it was the principle of the thing more than the beer, just went straight through me, I appologized to the cashier and told her it wasn't her fault it was just the stupid company she was working for and they went to far, think I will still call corprate in the morning for what it is worth

would you let them scan your drivers liscense to buy beer???????? kinda simple yes or no0 -
Went to the Mart cause it is closer and all they asked is to see my ID, not scan it. No need to scan something like that imo, to much hacking with Krappor 0 -
You should have started screaming that it was racist!!!! 0 -
What good would it do to scan your drivers license? Does it have a bar code or chip or something? 0 -
Your first mistake was not jumping up on the counter and pissing all over the register to establish dominance. 0 -

You should stand outside and ask folks if they will buy your beer and give them the money. 0 -
They want your drivers license or birth date for cough syrup and tide pods and tobacco products and alcohol and other stuff, etc...
The nanny state run wild - liability coverage gone insane...
The rocket engines do the hobby craft you launched in a field which deployed a parachute and sometimes had a camera...
Hobbiest green canon fuse...
Pseudo ephedrine and benadryl and diphenhydromene...
Heck soon they will add heavy cream because it's a highly flammable dairy product...
Sigh.

Don't blame you one bit, you provided what the State requires you did your part. Granted the guy behind you was probably thinking bad thoughts about the old fart in front of him, but you know , he'll be in that position too one of these days.

So what, according to the DEMOCRAT party, you do not need ANY ID at all to vote.
Next time somebody wants to see your ID, tell them that's racist.0 -
the bar code on the back of your license when scanned actually shows your age (25). that way the clerk does not have to set there and do the math.
there is an app you can get for your phone that does this
I was just shown this saturday0 -
I bought a case of Michelob Amber Bock last week along with the groceries at the local Krogers. The clerk never said a word about my age or wanted to see any ID. But then at almost 71, I guess I look old enough.

I purchased a small nylon pouch (you know the one - velcro, fits on your belt, holds a small flashlight) from that great American institution, Walmart.
At checkout, the register/'puter prompted the trained monkeyclerk to verify my age. She demanded to see my driver's license.
I've been laughing ever since.
Well, you could carry a knife in it. WTH!0 -
OK :
I dont blame you at all !!!
They are as bad (stupid) as wallyworld !
I refuse to do Any business with idiots and the likes !
Thanks !!!
by the way : just give me a PBR :::0 -
Austin-Bingo. Just couldn't remember this name! "Whisky's too rough, Champaign costs too much and Voka puts my mouth in gear. That's why I like beer" Emojis need a musical note symbol

In California where they love to put all manners of hoops never went further than asking me of my birth day. Typically I see cashiers punch in 3/3/33 or something like that if they don't ask me for my birth day. 0 -

Tell them you are a Mexican visiting for life and have no stinking License 0 -
The last time I remember being carded they were checking to see if I was old enough for the senior discount. Sadly that hasn't happened for a long time now. 0 -
Just remember in some states you don't have to show ID to vote   0
