Good Friends/Portabella's -
Have a good friend neighbor, right next door, through the woods. He is from a region of PA. that is the "Mushroom Capitol of the World."
Every time he goes back up there, or has friends from up there come down, it is "do you want free mushrooms?" Well, yeah.
Was coming home this evening, got a text from my buddy. "Do you want some free Portabella's?
Well, yeah.
Stopped off, got a beer and a huge grocery bag full of very large fresh Portabella's.
We discussed different ways of marinating them. He showed me his large zip lock bags in the refrigerator.
Zesty Italian dressing, mixed with a tablespoon or so of A-1. A shot or two of worchestershire. Salt/pepper.
I am going to a gathering of the Clan, over on a 25 acre spread in NC., this Sunday, for a Surprise 90th birthday party for my Mom. I plan on marinating these (15-20?) Large Portabella's, keeping them in large zip lock bags, and having that as my contribution for the cook out. I may bring a bunch of Steaks also, depending on what my Sister wants me to bring.

Sounds good.
I cook them with a little vinegar sprinkled on use use them just like a burger0
