Its not that they are ignorant, its what we know about DEMOCRATs: DEMOCRATs want all guns banned. If in power they will expunge the Second Amendment right off the original document.

That's what they would have you believe but unless they do away with the constitution all together it'll be damn near impossible to get rid of the 2nd amendment because even if it gets passed through both houses of congress it still has to be ratified by three quarters of ALL the states. Not 2/3rd's but 3/4's. If just 13 states hold out it ain't happening.

I would be willing to bet that a large percentage of the members of congress don't even know how you amend the constitution.

While you are correct, don't forget DEMOCRATs have a long history of not enforcing laws they don't agree with, circumventing the rule of law, and ignoring the intent of the US Constitution. It is the same DEMOCRATs that have stacked the courts and appellate courts with activists.
It was the DEMOCRAT congress under Bill Clinton that passed the unconstitutional Assault Weapons Ban. Further people do not realize how close we came to a handgun ban under Clinton. If it weren't for the 1994 election, handguns would have been banned.

I for one take it serious when I hear the current DEMOCRAT nominees state openly they want the Second Amendment gone. It is the same DEMOCRATs and their allies in the media, who are now openly praising and embracing SOCIALISM, something 30 years ago, I never would have thought would happen here in the USA. When I went to college years ago, professors and academia praised our founding fathers. Today our founding fathers are vilified and condemned and in the very same schools.

It is the same DEMOCRATs that want to do away with the Electoral College, thus NY and CA will select every POTUS and the SCOTUS will be filled with Socialists who will reinterpret constitutional law. Such will have a devastating affect on the US CONs as written.

If these people ever become the supermajority, America as we know it is doomed.

Just remind them if they eliminate guns how will they over throw Trump if he losses and refuses to step down?

The only think anyone needs to know about Democrats and guns is:

DEMOCRATS ARE FIREARM ABOLITIONISTS WHO WILL ELIMINATE THE 2ND AMENDMENT RIGHT TO OWN/POSSESS A FIREARM OF ANY KIND.

"Democrats". Kind of a wide berth there. So far as I know, there are a whole TON of democrats that are both gun owners and knowledgeable about firearms. Many of them are former military and simply want to ban guns. There are even left leaning gun rights orgs that advocate for the preservation of amendment 2, yet lean democrat because they like the butt stuff (http://www.a-human-right.com/introduction.html). Can we ever be serious about issues like this?

I am a Democrat! I love my guns and go to the range often! I am very proficient and can hold my own with just about anyone for accuracy. I am death to any male pheasant I see in the field with my dog!

I own 25 guns and have a WI CC permit! I have never taken one gun from anyone, nor do I plan to, if you are of sane mind, do not threaten anyone and use your guns responsibly! I do not for the life of me understand why you think I do? No Democrat had taken one single gun from anyone!

I own an AR-15 but not sure why, other than it is fun for a few minutes on the range. However, I would rather shoot my M-1 Garand or "03". I am not sure why I need a 30 round magazine and could live without them. Since I use my guns by lawful means, keep them locked up, and always use them in a responsible manner I have no problem registering my guns! If someone tries to take my guns or your guns (and you treat yours like I do), I will fight to the death!

I believe in the Constitution and ALL its amendments! I also know it was written in 1787 in the time of flintlock muzzle loaders. Over the years we have had to modify the Constitution for one reason or the other. If culture, technology, or whatever, demand that we do we can and should change it again! If the common citizen has the right to bear arms, does that mean you should have an atom bomb? Where do you draw the line? Should we jsut let everyone be able to buy an AR-15 that can shoot over 30 people in 28 seconds?

You say the guy in Dayton was crazy, yes he was! But they have crazy in other places too! Whether you like it or not there is not the gun violence in other countries there is here! You say guns protect people. Yes, but it took a minute for the police to get there and he gunned down 30 people in that time! In the Walmart in and Open Carry State, there was no help from anyone!

If we cannot talk to each other we are in real trouble. You do not want to give in or talk a little, things are just going to get worse! Then something maybe imposed! Keep telling your NRA to say, "No, No, No, No, No!" Someday you are going to lose and lose big! I would rather give and compromise before it is to late! My grandkids should not have to go to school in fear of being shot (two live in Parkland, FL)! So, if you want to call me names go ahead and lose your guns someday! I would rather talk at the range!

    Nailed it!!
Hasn't figured it out that whenever we compromise with DEMOCRATz over Second Amendment rights go, gun owners always lose.
Hasn't figured it out DEMOCRATz don't trust he or anyone else with a gun of any type and if given full control of all 3 branches of government, they will eventually use the power of government to take them from you.

If you really want to blow their minds get into the Universal Background discussion,,then ask them to name any of the mass shooters that would have been stopped by this law they have been screaming for for years now,, They used to call it the gun show loophole but its all the same,, just keep asking for a name,,then tell them they cant give you one because there has been none,,every one of the so called mass shooters have either passed a background check or stole the weapons used,,, you keep the discussion up and they will eventually admit its all a ruse for National Gun Registration,,if they know what you have then they know what to come after.. its takes a while but you can get them to admit not one mass shooter would have been stopped by the law they want

Yes, he is a typical lying Fudd gun owner, IMO. States in one part that "I believe in the Constitution and ALL its amendments!" . Then goes on point by point proving he does not, "I have no problem registering my guns!" " I would rather give and compromise before it is to late!". These are just two points of several. This is typical Fudd gun owner behavior, and IMO, these people are a greater danger to the America than the out and out antigunners. I consider myself a true American Patriot, and as such, I have no use for this type of individual. I will NEVER stand shoulder to shoulder and fight "our battle" with such

First of all the fact that people only had flint locks when the Constitution was written is a stupid argument, the point has always been that the people be as well armed as the government to prevent a rogue government from further abuses. So YES of course people should be allwoed to have AR-15's and any other means to protect the Constitution from people like you.

You see the intention was always we the people be as well armed as the government.

I would, as you suggest, compromise.
    The military remains separate.
Everyone else, we the people, all LE agencies and all politicians have the same right of firearms to utilize
Want to ban AR15s? Sure, but no LEO can have one as well.
But but but, they need them to defend themselves against criminals you say
    Criminals attack civilians not LEOs

Consider this. Today virtually every LEO has a semi auto pistol and 3 high cap magazines and an AR 15 with 30 round magazines.
    Why?
Because he needs the most effective weapons to deal with criminals.
So do we, let me repeat that, SO DO WE

I?m tired of this ?compromise? you speak of. Why you may ask? Because every single time I?ve had to compromise I get NOTHING in return. That?s what compromising means to the vast majority of gun grabbers. Fudds always say crap like ?I believe in the 2nd Amendment but...? The 2nd Amendment wasn?t written so you could ?go talk at the range.?
