    I kind of feel the same way but then again I don't like seeing this side of the justice system.

    Justice should be blind and impartial. I don't feel you should be jailed and fined for not talking to a Grand Jury. It just doesn't seem fair to me but then again when I was a kid I was told FAIR is what you pay to get on a bus.

    I think he should still be in jail as a traitor or deported and loose his citizenship, kind of like PNG him.

    that jail time is all that may be keeping he/she/it alive. wait a few more years and most will have forgotten he/she/it and it will be safe to wander the streets again, sorta like jane fonda, though her family name kept her from a lot of harm.

    I don't think it was punitive at all. The pardon was for specific crimes dealing with his service. If it commits other crimes later or crimes not specific to the pardon it is fair game.
