You know Dave, I hate RSOing. I get more satisfaction Training.
I'm one of the original Founders of Silver State Shooting Sports in Las Vegas. For 6 years, basically, I was the only RSO. No one else wanted to do it. Every once in awhile one other RSO would step in to relieve me so I could train.
To this day mostly at Gun Shows, a young adult will come up to me and say, "Do you remember me"? I left an impression on they're minds that makes me Proud.
Now days, everyone has a Shirt full of Patches and stands around wanting to be the Boss and doing nothing while a few other Trainers and myself are running back and forth teaching!
Now I know what your doing is a little different, but because of your experience, maybe every once in awhile take a step back and teach someone new and see how you like it!0 -
You are exactly right! A big part of why I got my RO is to make sure Im doing my part to give new shooters a good experience.
