just a guess lack of demand from the customers or the total invested final cost was more than most would have paid for it ?
wife and I use to get them a local dairy cream but that was 40 years ago  I know I have not even looked or ask about one for years0 -
Making a banana split is an art form.
Went away with customer service, craftsmanship, self responsibility, and many other dinosaurs of our past.
If it can't be downloaded as an app.......forget it.

My wife makes them with all the stuff on them. Ripe bananas, chocolate syrup, strawberry topping, pineapple topping, cherries, whip cream, walnuts and either vanilla or Neapolitan ice cream. 0 -
Just had one at the Baskin-Robbins store.
3 different kinds of ice cream, out of 31 different flavors, and choice of toppings, then nuts and whipped cream with a cherry on top.
You are right, it is a meal unto itself.0 -
No bacon? That's sad. Also uncooked banana is nasty. Now banana chips are great. I can eat a whole bag. Caramelized banana is a hit or miss but with ice cream it'll go down. 0
