sportsman 48 butt plate help please
i posted on the ask the experts forum and received some help on my problem but no solution. im trying to find and original or reproduction butt plate for a sportsman 48. i ordered one from another web site and it was curved on the bottom to fit a curved stock, my stock is flat. ive called a couple of companies who have these but they say theirs are also curved. my stock does not appear to be cut, it measures the same length as my 870 express stock. numrich says theirs fit an 870,878,11-48, spt48, spt 58, and 1100. if one of you have any of these that are original could you please look and tell me if the butt end of the gun is flat or curved from heel to toe. thanks in advance.

They are flat from factory. That is the mating surface of the butt plate to stock is flat. The surface to shoulder has a slight curve.
