rimfire bore guide??
Looking for a bore guide to clean my rimfires (17 and 22) with. After spending some time looking it appears that they need to be model specific due to the small bolt diameter and the locations of certain parts. Does anyone know of a somewhat universal one so I don't need to buy a dozen different ones? TIA.

I just recently purchased the Tipton Universal Bore Guide from Midway USA ($14.99). Have not used it yet so cannot give an review on it.
For $14.99, I thought if I did not like it, no big deal.0 -
Used to be freeland catalogued them for competition shooters...
Champions choice as well - possible brownells...
I have been out of the game so long I don't know who the major catalog suppliers are anymore for match shooting...
You will get the best coated rods from them as well - and never clean from the muzzle lest you damage the crown...

I guess that I really don't understand the intricacies involved with them. Looking at what Sinclair offers, it appears that the standard bolt diameter on most bolt action 22's is around .720". If the rod guide covers the trigger, ejector and other goodies from damage, and goes into the chamber, it seems that they could make one that is a little more universal. Guess I just need to quit being so tight with my Benjamin's...

I could use 4 of what they offer, but that doesn't cover all of my bolt 22's.0
