Got Out of the Gun Show Pretty Cheap
Went to a local show yesterday afternoon, and got out for $150.00. All I bought was ammo, 200 rds of PMC 308 147 gr. FMJ for $125, and 20 rds of Hornady Precision Hunter 6.5 CM for $25. My Grandson just bought an AR10, and I will give him the 308 to plink with. The 6.5.CM, I will keep because it shoots so good in my rifle. I would have bought a lot more of it, but the dealer only had 1 box. At $25 out the door, it was too good to pass on.

Nope. The promotor is pretty strict about what can and can't be sold at his shows. Only allows a few "junk" tables to be set up. Probably 500 tables, and only 4 or 5 jewelry/stun gun/Paki-knife/food tables. I like his way of doing business! If you rent a table he buys your dinner on Saturday, comes around several time each day, and gives door prizes every 2 hours, and is a Marine vet.jimdeere wrote:What? No jerky?0 -

Interesting, I wonder why that is? 7.62X51 147 grain is M80 Ball, which it the standard stuff.0 -
If you did not leave with Bavarian Nuts, Fudge, sunglasses and a knife sharpener, that was no gun show!
I work the local show's gun check table, and usually give the Rocky Mountain Elk foundation $40 to give away lottery tickets to kids. Seldom come home with anything.0 -

Palmetto State Armory PA10 Gen 3. I have one (Gen 2) that shoots 150 gr better than 165 gr. After my Grandson "breaks it in", he can finance the experimenting for himself. He has a degree in Civil Eng., and works for the Corps of Engineers.0
