Pollution. China is trying to convert from coal to cleaner sources of energy like natural gas. Some industry has converted and some have installed scrubbers to reduce coal emissions. But when you have millions and millions of homes still reliant on coal or wood burning heat it will probably take decades to reduce that source of pollution. That's why if the global warming alarmists are correct it is almost futile for us to try to make any difference here in the states. Any improvement we make with great sacrifice will only be a drop in the bucket. Bob

I read an article in National Geographic several years ago about coal miners in China. They work 6 days a week and on Sunday the whole family went out to the slag piles and scrounged for bits of coal to heat their home with.
There was a picture of a family with little kids digging by hand.

The Chinese have just completed the 3 largest most powerful hydroelectric stations on the planet and are building at least 3 more - 2 in almost non populated rural mountain regions...

They have turned the spratly islands into a naval littoral fortress - a giant super carrier...

They want the petroleum fractional distillates and the natural gas reserves and the vast field of magnesium nodules on the sea basin floor...

With all that said, with all the pollution caused by China and the hardships these people face on a daily basis, the rest of the world is looking at the BS being spouted out here and just laughing at us.

We really need to send the left / liberals to China and other countries and let them spout their BS there instead of here.

The world is shaking its head and laughing...
