Cruel and Inhumane
Went by Tractor Supply to get some Rat Poison. Little hotels for them to go inside and eat the bait. Bait is wired up so they cannot remove it. Then I bought an electronic mouse killer. Runs on 4 AA batteries and electrocutes them. If it works, I will buy a few more to sit around the cars in the garages.

Get the electronic rat repellers from Amazon. I have been the victim of a rat and mouse infestation for 22 years. A constant battle.
I got the rat repellers 10 months ago. Not a sign of a rat or mouse since. No nests on top of the engine of the Infiniti.
No chewing on the wiring of the Mercedes. No nest in the blower fan of the Nissan pickup.
No mice chewing up the bread in the kitchen. Yes I have 12 electric rat repellers, in the carport and the basement, and the crawl space. The best $350 I ever spent.0 -
I live in the country and when we built our house we would get 2 or 3 mouse a year.
Now the snakes have taken over and we have not seen a mouse in 5 or 6 years.
Mt wife is petrified of both so its all evil to her. LOL0 -
My garden is full of fruit trees, berries, and Walnuts. My three Terriers keep the rodents down to manageable levels. My three little devils are mouse maniacs. Even my half blind and nearly deaf 16 year old Jack Russel gets in on the action.

Pure genius. Only thing missing is dab of peanut butter in middle of log. Growing up, neighbor about a mile away had rats that moved into an old granary that was falling down.
Used to go over about once a week on Saturday with a brick of .22's
Great fun but after several trips, the 'targets' were no more..0 -
We live in the country. My shadow is a little gray tomcat name Breeze. He is hell on square wheels around mice and moles- and the squirrels step pretty lightly around him. He pretty much ignores the songbirds- unless one whacks the sliding glass doors- in which case he considers that his under the infield fly rule. Have consider teaching him to retrieve and taking him dove hunting. 0 -

I was actually going to suggest something along this line. I have made a bunch of different types when we were on the farm. All were self resetting fall traps of some kind.0 -
seems a lot neater than poison which could get back to pets....we have two house kittys which are death on mice when outside....earning their keep 0 -

Rat poison kills by causing internal bleeding.
Terrorist use to in their bombs constructed with bolts/bb's/marbles/etc. --- add the rat poison and it gets into the wounds caused by the 'shrapnel' so those injured also die of uncontrollable bleeding....or so I've been told.
Probably banned just like most effective cold meds that are not behind the counter and have to provide an ID and sign for.0
