    Years ago, I was down in the Wichita Wildlife preserve near Lawton OK. I had just woke up, still in my tent, laying in my sleeping bag. I hear several galloping sounds coming down the paved road but it was obviously not shod horses. I got up quickly and was going to give those riders an ear full for running their horses that hard on asphalt. Turns out, it was two male bison. Just as they passed my tent, the one in front spun around and the two hit heads and they basically stayed in that position for several minutes, pushing back and forth, slipping a lot. They were less than 10 yards from me the whole time. When I first realized what they were, I started looking around and thinking what I was going to do, or where I was going to go if they got bored with each other and started eyeing me. Thankfully, after a while, they finally settled down and walked off in somewhat similar paths. It was a cool experience. Like usual, I had my 10mm with me. While a fairly powerful gun, I am not sure it is bison rated.

    bambihunter - If your 10mm was loaded with "Buffalo" Bore you would've been buffalo rated. They're like cousins, right? :lol::lol::lol:

    LOL. That's good one Yosh. They do make great ammo, but I am not sure they were out then. They at least weren't available where I went at the time. I am sure it was loaded with DoubleTap ammo so 'bout the same load. Even though I reload, I still shoot and carry DT ammo in my carry gun.
