It?s 88 degrees in Birmingham...at 10:20 pm....crazy

It?s sticky.....hot.....like you took a hot shower and put your clothes on without drying off first (from Facebook). The bugs are singing so loud it?s scaring the frogs. I keep thinking I?m starting to cool off, but then I move around and realize it?s my imagination. By the time things do cool down the sun will be coming up again. Tomorrow will be one of those days you just keep the blinds shut.

    80 degrees here in the Orlando area, with 95% humidity. Not comfortable at all.

    75 degrees and cloudy with light rain showers popping up and passing through...

    Here at the confluence of the Delaware river and the rancoacas creek just north of amico island - a nice pocket of littoral waters and riparian spaces - slightly north and east of Philadelphia (the largest freshwater port in the country) on the New Jersey side below Burlington city and it's former riverboat stations...

    The animals are loving it - I have been spending some time outside overnight napping.

    I'm having to reprogram the thermostats to keep the inside humidity down. It gets cool at night outside and the AC doesn't run so it doesn't dehumidify. Might get extra dehumidifier for upstairs and put it into the spare bedroom tub to drain.

    The light switches in the kitchen have water on the underside of little lever.....I haven't had any issues or noticed it anywhere else, but whenever you go to turn on the back porch lights you can't help but notice and worry about feeling water when flipping the switch.

    This reminds me of a time fishing off of a dock on Lake Martinez in Arizona when it was 112 at 2AM and sweating to beat hell. Not good, but a lot better than last summer when we entered this Devil's Furnace once again on our way to Texas during the day which had to be over 115 with a 30+ mph wind. Thank your lucky stars and God if you have even a hint of humidity in the air.

    The National Weather Service temperature at noon in Peach Tree City, GA where the temperature is taken for our area is showing 93 degrees with the heat index at 103 degrees. No wind is stirring and it feels like a pizza oven except pizza ovens don't have high humidity.

    Take a big, heavy wool blanket and wash it. Give it about ten or fifteen minutes in the drier on high. Just enough to get it good and hot. Now, wrap yourself in the hot, wet wool blanket. That, is what it was like here in my part of Kansas yesterday. And let's not forget the winds Kansas is famous for. It was like a six inch desk fan thirty feet away with a four year old laughing his ass off playing with the switch.

    couple of days ago to my inside guage 41% ourside to check it at 82% humidity.....now i know why some people move to low humidity areas ...i expect that over lakeside in eastern kansas but its a killer here with close to 100 temp......took a table up to Hays this morn, 2/3 of the triplets are getting ready for fall classes and getting their living quarters fixed up.....

    I keep finding myself saying out loud......DANGGGGG IT. Everything is heavier, longer, further away, and food doesn't even taste good any more. We went to lunch and I told everyone I was going to need a Sherpa to get back to my car because I couldn't keep my eyes open in the sunlight out in the parking lot.

    Its just ridiculous right now.
