Been a big fan of Roy's music most all of my life! Even saw him starring in this movie at our local drive in way back in the day.

He only lived 52 years and left us way too young!

One of my favorites way back. His "vibrato" made his songs what they were.

If you want a great concert DVD/Blu-ray to watch and listen to in Surround Sound, look for Roy Orbison - Black & White Night!

Roy is what country music should be. Too damn bad country music has gone to the dogs. I cannot even listen to the modern country music and even harder to watch the ones trying to sing such. :(

and I'm a country guy, just not country music anymore. I suspect most of them country music singers nowdays are democrats. :(

Trying to watch them so called country music singers perform now days is in same category as trying to watch the rock band KISS.
(kiss my axe goodbye ;) )

More entertaining watching Nancy Pelosi chew her cud when she is making a speech ;) .

I bought the traveling willburies album when it was released on compact disc...

The dynamic of this group of world class super talents having greatly matured getting together to hang out and collaborate - to make some good music was worth the listen and the price...

It was also at the end of the true original MTV with videos still dominating the broadcast and this album got major play time and was in the rotation quite a bit.

I got ripped on cause it was not to 40 and it was not classic rock or r&b or blues...

But I grew up listening to their music - and was pleased to see them come together.

    It's a good album.

I grew up on country back in the 30's, & 40's. Have over 3500 CW songs on backup. Wish I had more.

I can't stand the stuff we hear now.

He seemed a bit 'odd' to me but liked his music ... when music was music.

As a kid, I always thought Roy was blind on account of him always wearing those dark glasses. It only seemed a reasonable assumption after knowing Ray Charles and young Stevie Wonder were blind musicians! :o

There is still good country music, but you don't find it on country radio or CMT. If you like Roy Orbison, check out The Mavericks on youtube. Their singer, Raul Malo, is often compared to Roy Orbison.

Other good contemporary country acts include Whiskey Myers, The Turnpike Troubadours, The Derailers, Chris Stapleton, and lots more.

I believe he had an eye issue, thus the dark glasses.
