Browning 30-06 Lightning BLR Questions
I disassembled a Browning Lightning BLR 30-06 made in Japan for a much-needed cleaning before reading that it is not a good idea. Now after much trial and error getting the gear in time.
I have it assembled and my questions are
1. How much space is there between the lever and stock when action is closed?
2. Will trigger engage without any pressure on the lever?

Never had any hands on with BLR's, except selling them back in the 80's. Many various models and calibers have been made. In the U.S., Belgium and Japan, since the 70's. IMHO, it would be best if you identify specific DOM, caliber and country of origin. For help with your questions.
In Browning firearms, the DOM is included as part of the serial number.0 -

very good information for all BLR owners, also has a section on reassembly of the rack system used to operate the action.
