Any 28 gauge shooters here?
Acquired this stuff as part of a trade, have no use for it.

My Dad loved them. He has 4 of them, sxs, o/u and an an autoloader. He was big into hunting quail and grouse.
Unfortunately he is no longer hunting.
It broke his heart when I got a 12ga 870. He thought it was the ugliest gun he had ever seen

Nothing is as fun to shoot as a 28 gauge, in my opinion.
Pheasants and doves fear my Parker Repro 28 ga double and 28 ga Superposed.
Not a clay shooter, so no need for #9s.........good luck!
Sam, I think I would have gotten along with your Dad!0 -
bought a nice little double when my grandson was born, after searching high and low at the shows , bought a mec loader for it, now have 400+ loaded for when he gets big enough to shoot....... 0 -
Love the 28. I have several Browning O/U in 28 ga.
I also have several flats of 28 ga reloaded and new. Recently got several flats of Remington as I am switching over to Remington hulls.0 -
I have two 28's, a Red Label and a BPS...I really like shooting them both. If Ca didn't have so many freaking hoops to jump through to buy ammo online I would bid... 0 -
I have a single shot break open with a 28" bbl and a vent rib that was made in Spain...I have a tristar semiautomatic set up for small game (both guns in 28 gauge) and a NEF simple single shot break open with no rib and a 26" bbl...

I have an Ithaca 37 with a 24" and a 28" bbl. choke tubes. I usually get it out once a year and shoot a couple rounds of trap. A guy gave me 500 1x fired AA hulls so I found a MEC SizeMaster loader. May shoot it more now. 0 -
my dad bought a remington model 48? autoloader back in the 50s, i used it rabbit/quail hunting in my teens. then it stayed in the safe for 30 years. got some non toxic shot--bismuth- and have used it duck hunting....y son took the browning sweet 16, and my brothers son, my nephew, i let him take the 28 gauge, as i have retired from hunting. 0 -

LOL
You probably would have.
The last time I went hunting with him was in 1999 and I had a Benelli SBE. We went dove hunting and he said he had never seen an uglier shotgun in his life. I let him shoot it and his words were it "it has no soul

11-48. Damn nice little shotgun. Dad used to have a matched skeet pair 410 and 28ga with weights. I'm not sure I ever missed a bird with that 28.....0
